WHAT IS POCKET PROJECT?

Pocket Project started with the simple goal of helping my peers get access to financial planning early in their careers. Getting financial help from an advisor can be intimidating, and it's hard to know if the advisor has your best interests at heart. Pocket Project was developed to help young individuals and couples get control of their financial situation. My promise is full transparency and to ease that feeling of "am I doing enough?".

Pocket Project's mission is to provide financial management to individuals and couples by working as an advisor and accountability partner. This is done through a comprehensive approach to your full financial picture - how your retirement plans work with your investment accounts, how your company benefits work with your individual insurance policies, how your different types of bank accounts affect your taxes, etc. Most of my clients are closer to the beginning of their careers than the end and have never hired a financial advisor. Because of this, my approach includes financial education along with recommendations to empower you and instill confidence in the decisions you are making. As an accountability partner, I make sure that action items are getting completed and help you stay on track to reach your financial goals.

SAVE WISELY, SPEND HAPPILY

Finances are hard. I get it - you're tired of reading generic blogs for the masses, but don't think you have "enough" to hire a full-time financial planner.

This may just be your best investment as a young professional - wouldn't it be nice to have somebody that understands you, so you can ask financial questions and get personalized advice with no hidden agenda?

Financial planning is no longer just for those who have wealth - the game is changed for those who want to build wealth.

HI, MY NAME IS LOGAN

Professionally, I am a graduate of Widener University with a degree in financial planning and a minor in accounting. I began my financial planning career in Philadelphia, PA. I have received designations of Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) and have become an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the IRS. I also actively volunteer with a service called Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), which is a program administered by the IRS to prepare taxes for low income individuals. The best part of my job is building relationships with my clients through financial and tax planning, and demonstrating how a little bit of planning can go a long way. One of the "Projects" in which this company was founded is to expand my efforts to give access and education of financial planning to those who need it.

Personally, beyond my love for financial planning and taxes, I spend my free time outdoors exploring Arizona and the surrounding states via backpacking, hiking, camping, and the like. The Superstition Mountains are my most frequented hikes, aside from the summer months when I go north to Payson or Flagstaff. I look forward to exploring more of the United States with my National Parks Pass. I actively participate in a book club and love spending time with my girlfriend.

I believe in transparency and walking the walk. It's one thing to say that you care about your clients and do what is best for them, its another thing to prove it. I have structured my business to make it as conflict-of-interest free as I can and to show my commitment to my clients by putting their needs ahead of mine. I am a fiduciary, and have signed and made public my Fiduciary Oath, and all my agreements with my clients include my fiduciary commitment.

As a solo-advisor, I have committed to getting the education I need to be an expert, and surrounding myself with other professionals through various organizations that provide me with valuable resources.

Below, I have outlined my credentials and the organizations in which I am involved. The full descriptions of my credentials can be found on my ADV Part 2, which can be accessed from my footer.

CREDENTIALS

As a CFP®, I completed the four requirements to hold and maintain the designation, including Ethics, Education, Experience and the Exam. I am required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain my designation.

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

This is the highest credential awarded by the IRS, and allows me to have unlimited practice rights for my clients. The credential was obtained by passing three exams and ethics requirements. I maintain this credential by completing 72 hours of continuing education every
three years, and staying compliant in my own personal taxes.

IRS ENROLLED

I chose this designation because although my clients are not retired, retirement is something everybody goes through a result of lifelong planning - starting now will only make it easier. Obtaining the designation required professional experience, three college-level courses , and requires 30 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain.
